Air Hoists

A Kito air hoist is a pneumatically powered chain hoist that uses compressed air instead of electricity to lift, lower, and precisely position loads—making it the definitive lifting solution for hazardous, flammable, and high-duty-cycle environments. The Kito TCR Series pneumatic hoist meets the demands of chemical plants, refineries, foundries, coal mines, and high-speed production lines where electric motors pose a safety risk or cannot withstand round-the-clock operation. Available in capacities from 250 kg to 6 tonnes with three control methods—cord, pendant, and hand lever—the TCR offers infinitely variable speed control and an unlimited duty cycle. The air motor cannot overheat or burn out even under continuous starts and stops, with a built-in anti-overwinding device and overload limiter pre-set at 125% of rated capacity, certified IP55 for indoor use from -10°C to 60°C.

Spark-Free Pneumatic Motor for Explosive Environments

Powered entirely by compressed air (0.4–0.6 MPa) with zero electrical arcing, the Kito pneumatic hoist is inherently safe for ATEX-classified zones, petrochemical refineries, and flammable material handling.

Infinitely Variable Speed with Ultra-Slow Positioning Mode

Unlike fixed-speed electric hoists, the TCR air chain hoist allows operators to continuously modulate lifting speed by adjusting valve pressure—from rapid traverse to micro-creep positioning ideal for precision assembly.

Continuous 100% Duty Cycle Without Motor Burnout

The self-cooling air motor design dissipates heat efficiently, enabling unlimited starts per hour and non-stop operation in foundries, automotive lines, and die-handling applications that would quickly destroy conventional electric motors.

Triple Control Method Flexibility (Cord, Pendant, Hand Lever)

Select the ergonomic control interface that matches your workflow—cord control for simple operation, pendant for standard bay lifting, or hand lever for direct, tactile proportional speed control.

Integrated Overload Limiter & Anti-Overwinding Protection

A factory-calibrated overload limiter automatically halts lifting when the load exceeds 125% of rated capacity, while the built-in anti-overwinding device protects both chain and hoist body from damage.

Environmentally Responsible, Low-Maintenance Design

The TCR series is manufactured without 15 environmentally hazardous substances including all six EU RoHS materials, and uses Kito's proprietary corrosion-resistant nickel-plated chain for extended service life in harsh conditions.

Why Choose Kito Air Hoists Over Electric or Manual Hoists

When production uptime and personnel safety are the top priorities, the advantages of a Kito pneumatic hoist become decisive. The air-powered TCR motor cannot generate sparks, eliminating ignition risk in petrochemical and solvent-rich atmospheres. The air motor's self-cooling architecture delivers a 100% duty cycle—the hoist can run continuously without thermal shutdown—critical for automotive transfer lines and repetitive pick-and-place operations. The TCR series is up to 50% lighter than comparably rated electric hoists, simplifying overhead installation and reducing structural load on monorails and workstation crane systems.

Industries & Applications for Pneumatic Air Chain Hoists

Kito air hoists are the lifting technology of choice where safety, speed, and reliability intersect. In chemical and petrochemical plants, the spark-proof motor is mandatory for handling vessels and pipe spools in flammable gas areas. Coal mines deploy TCR hoists because compressed air is already available in the mine infrastructure. In foundries and steel mills, the unlimited duty cycle allows continuous ladle pouring and mold handling. Textile mills and food processing facilities benefit from the RoHS-compliant construction and IP55 protection. Fast-paced assembly lines leverage the TCR's rapid lifting speeds for synchronous part transfer and precision component insertion.
