Camera Systems

Kito camera systems provide live video visibility for crane operators when the load is not directly visible from the operator’s position. Common on large overhead cranes, gantry cranes, and mobile cranes where the operator cab is remote from the load hook, Kito camera systems mount rugged industrial cameras on the bridge, trolley, or hook block, transmitting live video to an in-cab monitor. This eliminates dangerous blind spots, allows precision spotting in remote crane operations, and improves safety when operating near personnel or obstructions. Kito camera systems are designed for harsh industrial environments – vibration resistance, wide temperature operation, and sealed housings.

Eliminate Crane Blind Spots

View hook and load on monitor – even when not visible from operator cab

Rugged Industrial Cameras

Vibration-resistant, wide temperature range, sealed housings for plant and outdoor use

Live Video to Operator Cab

Real-time visual feedback for precision load spotting

Multiple Camera Positions

Bridge-mounted (view along runway), trolley-mounted (view down), or hook-mounted (view load)

Improve Safety Near Personnel

Operator sees workers near load – critical for congested areas

Reduce Spotter Requirements

Many lifts require a second person as signaler – camera replaces them

When Does Your Crane Need a Camera System?

If the operator’s cab is on one end of the crane and the load is at the far end, a wall, column, or other structure often blocks direct view. Traditional solution: a signal person on the floor using hand signals or radio. That signal person stands in the lift zone – precisely where we want no personnel. Kito camera systems mount a camera on the trolley facing the hook, sending live video to the operator’s monitor. The operator sees exactly what they could not otherwise see and spots the load without exposing personnel to danger. For gantry cranes or cranes in high-traffic areas, blind spot cameras prevent collisions.

Industries Using Kito Crane Camera Systems

Large overhead cranes in steel mills, shipbuilding gantry cranes, port container cranes, heavy equipment assembly, foundry cranes with limited visibility, warehouse loading cranes with narrow aisles, scrap handling with crowded yards, and any industrial crane where blind spots create risk. Kito camera systems integrate with Kito control panels and can tie into plant safety networks for incident recording.
