Lifting Magnet

Kito lifting magnets provide efficient handling of ferrous materials without chains, slings, or hooks. Available in permanent (no power required) and electro-permanent (single-wire operation) configurations, Kito lifting magnets are designed for steel plate, structural shapes, bar stock, pipe, and scrap handling. Permanent lifting magnets provide secure attachment without electricity, making them ideal for remote yards, outdoor storage, and applications where power access is limited. Electro-permanent magnets use a brief electric pulse to activate/deactivate the magnetic circuit, continuing to hold load even during power interruption. Kito lifting magnets are used extensively in steel service centers, recycling operations, manufacturing plants, and shipping yards.

Electro-Permanent Options

Single-wire activation with safe hold even during power failure

Steel Plate, Bar & Shape Handling

Designed for ferrous materials of all configurations

Safe Magnetic Circuit Design

Prevents accidental load release – no power, no drop

Low Maintenance Operation

No wearing parts in magnetic circuit = years of reliable service

Remote Control Option

Electro-permanent models available with pendant or radio control

Permanent vs. Electro-Permanent Lifting Magnets

Kito permanent lifting magnets require no external power. A mechanical handle rotates the internal magnetic circuit to activate or deactivate the magnet. Ideal for yards without power, mobile applications, and backup lifting. Kito electro-permanent magnets use a brief DC pulse to flip the magnetic circuit – once activated, the load stays attached even if power fails. Use for automated lines, remote control operation, and high-cycle applications. Both types provide safe magnetic lifting without the daily power consumption of traditional electromagnets.

Industries Using Kito Lifting Magnets

Steel service centers (moving plate, bar, beam), recycling and scrap processing, fabrication shops (loading saws and lasers), stockyards and warehouses, shipping ports (steel coil handling), foundries (pig iron and returns), manufacturing plants (sheet metal feeding), and construction steel distribution. Lifting magnets eliminate sling damage to finished plate edges, improve unloading speed, and allow single-operator material handling.
