SKF Lincoln FlowMaster III
The SKF Lincoln FlowMaster III is a premium rotary-driven grease pump designed for high-volume, high-pressure use with heavy greases. It works with 180-220 kg (400 lb) drums, using a follower plate to prime the pump and wipe the drum clean. The FlowMaster III is powered by a rotary air motor that provides smooth, pulse-free flow. This pump is the heart of many large automatic lubrication systems and oil rooms, feeding greases up to NLGI 3 to distant points with high reliability. Its rotary design handles grease gently, minimising oil separation. The FlowMaster III is widely used in mining, steel, and other heavy process industries where bulk grease supply and reliable, continuous pump operation are essential to uptime.

Why the FlowMaster III Is the Heart of Large Centralised Grease Systems
In a steel‑mill coil‑conveyor lubrication system, the FlowMaster III reliably pumps high‑viscosity EP grease through hundreds of metres of dual‑line pipework, delivering to hundreds of metering distributors. Its rotary design ensures no pressure pulses that could cause distributor “false cycles”, ensuring every bearing gets its dose.

Maintaining a FlowMaster III
Daily: check the air lubricator oil level. Weekly: check for air leaks. Monthly: inspect the follower plate wiper for wear. Annually: change the pump element seals. This simple PM routine, detailed in SKF’s manual, keeps a FlowMaster III in service for over 20 years.
